Job Description:
A company is looking for a Staff Tax Accountant to analyze,
prepare, and submit tax filings and assist with regulatory
audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete and file state and local tax returns, including sales &
use and property taxes
Handle Federal, state, and local regulatory filings, such as
business licenses and annual reports
Research tax regulations and assist in audits or inquiries from
regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience with multi-state sales and use tax
returns
Experience with fuel tax, DMV filings, or environmental reporting
preferred
Knowledge of multi-state income tax filings is a plus
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications, especially Excel
Experience with Avalara tax software is desirable
